Miguel Monteiro
Hello, my name is Miguel, and I am a machine learning researcher and engineer. Currently I work at Qureight developing machine learning and computer vision algorithms for extracting biomarkers from medical images.
I completed my PhD at Imperial College London in the BioMedIA group under the supervision of Professor Ben Glocker. My research focused on computer vision, deep learning, probabilistic models and causal inference. More details are available in the PhD section and the Publications section.
While completing my PhD, I interned at Microsoft Research and worked as a freelance machine learning engineer. Before that, I worked as a researcher at INESC-ID with Professor Arlindo Oliveira. You can find my professional experience record in the Experience section.
I completed a BSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) and a dual MSc degree at IST and the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). More details are available in the Education Section.
